Amos Dean the Party Machine!

The babiest of our babies turned one last weekend!  It took me a really long time to collect these pictures, so I'll have to make the writing brief.
At 12 months old, Amos loves saying "mama" and "dog" and signing "all done" so he can get out of his high chair.  He likes to feed the dogs pieces of his lunch and he loves pushing cars around while trying to say "vroom!" (something he learned from his big brother).  He LOVES to dance.  A TV theme song, commercial, or even just a ringtone will send this kid into a dancing frenzy!  Amos almost always has a smile on his face and captures the hearts of all of his caretakers.  He is, without  doubt, full of joy.  He is also a very high energy and busy baby.  He crawls really fast, which is always a little tricky for mama.  He can sneak past everyone and climb into the kitchen cabinets before we can say, "Where's Amos?"

Setting Up
So, in celebration of the gift of one year with this special guy, we had a pizza party at a local Italian restaurant.  It was fun to have Amos's first "big family" party, as this is a new development since the move.  Amos's Noni Isaac was able to travel 2000+ miles just for the affair! It was a fun night and I hope Amos looks back at these pictures and sees just how many people LOVE him!

Favors-- had to

I am sad that we didn't end up with a picture of the four of us.  I did a screen shot of the birthday song video so I could have one image with all of us:

My absolute favorite part of the day was watching Amos eat his first cupcake.  He was so delicate and cautious for what seemed like a long time!  He would jus barely dip his fingers in the frosting and taste it very carefully.

Clearly, he decided the cupcake was A-OK and began the two-handed shovel:

Here, big brother is showing you just how old his Amos Dean is:

Note to self: never again spend lots of time making "photo props" because only the kids will be into them... and also, they might eat them,
